Would have been my Dad’s 85th birthday today. So I think it was fitting that we raised a glass or three this evening. It was Olivia’s last day at Craft and we’ll be sad to see her go as she is always so welcoming.

Oops! Two nights in a row at the pub! Won a tee-shirt at the Garage Project tap takeover.

The weather really doesn’t know what it wants to do! After two cold and blustery days the sun was out again and the temperature was higher (though to be fair I am 1000km further north than I was yesterday!)
Despite getting out at regular intervals during the day to ‘energise’, I failed to take any photos!
Consequently, here is another photo of Nigel sampling a beer from this evening at our local!

We needed to stretch our legs and have some fresh air. A trip to Craft Hamilton for a wee beer or two.

MOVEMBER: Men’s health awareness month. Because although men seem to be dying when they get ‘man flu’, when they really have something wrong they don’t say anything! Prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health are taboo subjects .
So this evening two young men put their beards and their hair on the line to raise funds for Movember. Steven from Craft Hamilton and Ben from Little George had their beards and heads shaved. Great job boys!

Catching up on homework today. Good thing it was raining and the pull to be outside wasn’t too strong. Then ABs v SA in Craft and a Parrot Dog tap take over.

End of of the week. Beer in our local Craft Bar and then a ‘traditional’ cocktail in the Wonderhorse. Totally different vibes in these two places. Love the contrast.
Day 36 February 5th 2016
Friday evening. Time for a beer. The Tron has seen a resurgence of craft beer bars over the last couple of years. Just in time for our re-entry into the adult world now that both boys are over 16. The Craft Bar in Hamilton has become our de facto local. 15 different beers, excellent food as well as great hosts and within walking distance from home – What more does one need!?
